One of the downsides of the Game Gear is the screen. The original often fails, and even when it works is very outdated, dim and low contrast, not to mention power hungry.

We decided to improve that by making an easy to install, ultra low power, modern screen driver board, that allows you to use the IPS screen (sold separately).

Easy to install, just remove 3 components, and solder a handful of pads onto the board with no wires (if you use the optional wire-free kit). Install can be done in a matter of minutes.

• Low power (just over 1watt at medium brightness), giving around 15+ hours of gaming on a set of 2.5Ah Eneloop batteries
• Adjustable brightness using contrast wheel
